The National Forklift Championships (NFC) heats will be starting next month.The competition, now in its 3rd year have heats planned in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, and Perth. The heats are organized to find the best male and female forklift operators in the country. The Sydney champions of 2009 are expected the defend their title and the competition has also decided to include a team event. The NFC is gaining credibility by having companies such as Woolworths involving their staff. The aims of the competition are to develop forklift safety awareness, enhance career prospects, develop skills, include testing to a national standard, and increase female participation.
