The battle of alcohol bans continues as police push for new laws while the NSW premier protects party goers rights. The Police Association vice president Scott Weber has told NSW government officials that they are now “responsible for assaults that may have been prevented by the proposed new laws.” These new laws would ban strong drinks after 10 pm and lock new patrons after 1 am.
NSW Premier Ms Keneally believes that the majority of party goers come to Sydney to have a good time in a safe and responsible manner and has no plans to turn NSW into a “dull, boring, or wowser” state.
