Employers must provide access to trained first aiders under WHS Regulation 42. Most workplaces require at least one trained first aid officer.

HLTAID011 requires online theory plus one full day practical session.
CPR-only sessions are shorter.

Pricing varies depending on funding eligibility. ACT Training Fund subsidies may significantly reduce the cost.

The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends renewing CPR every 12 months.

No. The course is suitable for beginners and those renewing their workplace certification.

Yes — group or corporate bookings are available. Many training providers can deliver onsite sessions for larger teams, tailor scheduling, or offer bulk enrolment options. Team training ensures everyone meets ACT legal requirements and follows consistent, safe work practices.

The ACT Building and Construction Industry Training Fund Authority (TFA) provides subsidies for approved training undertaken by eligible employers and workers in the construction sector. You may be eligible if:

  • You work for an ACT-based construction company, and
  • Your employer pays the mandatory Training Fund Levy on your projects.

If eligible, your course fee may be partially reimbursed. You or your employer will need to apply for the subsidy after completing the course.
