With safety courses provided by AlertForce, workers receive the capabilities needed to safely perform a variety of potentially dangerous tasks. Workers in hazardous fields often require training to comply with safety regulations or meet WHS standards in Darwin and the Northern Territory.
These courses are designed to make workplaces safer and limit injuries and accidents. Workers develop skills for identifying hazards and implementing control measures to reduce risks. If you are a PCBU or an employee, taking courses may be a requirement in your field.

Asbestos Awareness Safety WHS Training
Asbestos was banned in Australia in 2003. However, it remains a threat and is still found in homes and businesses. Learn to stay safe with our nationally recognised asbestos awareness training. Our course instructs you on how to identify asbestos and asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).
Confined Spaces Training
If your job involves entering an enclosed or partially enclosed space, you may need to complete confined spaces training. Pipelines, vaults, manholes, and other confined spaces create additional risks due to atmospheric conditions. Minimise these risks with our one-day program.
Health and Safety Representative (HSR) Training
The Work Health and Safety Act gives employees the right to elect a worker to represent them in health and safety matters.
According to NT Worksafe, the elected worker must complete the health and safety representative (HSR) training to exercise the powers of an HSR. After completing the course, the HSR has the right to direct work to stop and issue provisional improvement notifications. More on HSR Training here.
Manual Handling Training
Most manual handling injuries include strains and sprains due to repetitive tasks or improper lifting or pulling. However, improper handling may also result in back injuries and long-term health issues. Learn how to stay safe with our manual handling courses. We offer manual handling courses for construction, health care, office, and warehouse workers.
Traffic Control Training
If your job requires you to work on roads or around mobile machinery, such as construction equipment, you may need to complete traffic control course. We offer a comprehensive course with learning outcomes designed to minimise risks when working around motorists or vehicles. This is also a pathway to becoming a traffic controller.
White Card Training
The white card course Darwin covers the most common dangers on a construction site. It is a requirement for anyone entering or working in a construction zone.
Participants receive a statement of attainment. The white card is delivered via post within one to two months.
The NT white card is valid in other states and territories. After completing the white card course, workers may seek employment in the construction sector in other regions. First-time participants must enrol in face-to-face learning. Online training is only intended as a refresher for construction induction courses.
Working at Heights Training
Our working at heights unit of competency gives workers the skills and knowledge for reducing the hazards of working from dangerous heights.
Workers learn how to implement safety measures when heights involve a fall of two or more metres. This includes the use of personal protection equipment (PPE), engineering controls, and administrative controls.
Requirements for Enrolling in WHS Courses Darwin
Our training programs may come with prerequisites. In the construction sector, workers often need to complete the white card course before enrolling in other programs. Other requirements include proper photo identification and the ability to understand English.
