White Card training in the ACT is a full-day, face-to-face course delivered in a classroom environment. Online White Card training is not recognised in the ACT.
You’ll receive your digital White Card Statement of Attainment on the same day once you successfully complete the course and assessment. Your physical card may be issued separately depending on employer or site requirements.
No prior qualifications or construction experience are required. The White Card course is suitable for first-time workers, apprentices, tradespeople, supervisors, and site visitors, and covers fundamental workplace health and safety knowledge.
If you don’t pass the assessment on your first attempt, you’ll be given the opportunity to review the learning material and resit the assessment. Retakes are included if required, as understanding the content is essential for workplace safety and compliance.
Yes. Group and corporate bookings are available. Training can be delivered for larger teams, with options for scheduled group sessions or tailored delivery to suit business requirements. This helps ensure all workers meet ACT legal requirements.
The ACT Building and Construction Industry Training Fund provides subsidies for eligible workers and employers undertaking approved training in the construction sector.
You may be eligible if:

Your employer pays the mandatory Training Fund Levy
If eligible, part of your course fee may be reimbursed. Applications are typically made after course completion.
Once issued, the White Card does not expire. However, many employers and PCBUs require workers to refresh their White Card if they have not worked in the construction industry for two years or more.
