Driver fatigue is a major safety hazard for all drivers on the highway. Fatigue related crashes tend to be severe and with little or no braking or avoidance action prior to the accident.
The risk of death or serious injury to a driver and passenger or the occupants of other vehicles in a fatigue related crash is very high.
From 29th September 2008 new legislation will come into force throughout Australia to manage fatigue under Occupational Health and Safety legislation. Everyone in the supply chain will become responsible for the management of fatigue. The National Transport Commission (NTC) has been the coordination body to facilitate this process in consultation with employers, unions, users of transport services and the wider community.
With fatigue management training, you will learn how to make adjustment to help keep your employees alert, productive, and safe.
