Where works impact public roads or pedestrian access, traffic control must be implemented in accordance with approved plans. Workers performing traffic control duties must be appropriately trained and competent.
Most traffic control combo courses run for 2–3 days, depending on whether you are completing control, management, or both units.
Statements of Attainment are issued once competency has been confirmed and documentation is finalised.
If you are not deemed competent, you will receive feedback and may undertake reassessment where appropriate.
The ACT Building and Construction Industry Training Fund Authority (TFA) provides subsidies for approved training undertaken by eligible employers and workers in the construction sector. You may be eligible if:
If eligible, your course fee may be partially reimbursed. You or your employer will need to apply for the subsidy after completing the course.
