The 10852NAT Working Safely with Asbestos Containing Materials course provides nationally accredited training in identifying asbestos containing materials (ACMs), understanding exposure risks, and implementing safe work practices to minimise fibre release in NSW workplaces.

Issued upon successful completion of the course.
As of 1 July 2019, amendments to the WHS Regulation 2011 require tradespeople working with materials that may contain asbestos fibres to complete the 10852NAT course.
This course:
Does NOT replace 11084NAT Asbestos Awareness (which remains mandatory and is a prerequisite)
Does NOT qualify workers to remove asbestos
Workers performing removal must complete:
CPCCDE3014A (Non-Friable Removal)
or
CPCCDE3015A (Friable Removal)

Have completed 11084NAT Asbestos Awareness (mandatory prerequisite)
Be at least 16 years old
Wear high-visibility clothing and safety boots
Provide valid identification
Have basic English literacy skills
Upon successful completion, participants receive a Statement of Attainment for 10852NAT Working Safely with Asbestos Containing Materials.
This is the approved NSW course for tradespeople working with ACMs.
The training does not expire under legislation. However, workers are encouraged to remain current with evolving WHS standards.
