RIIHAN301E applies to scissor lifts and vertical lifts under 11 metres.

Note: Boom-type EWPs 11 metres or higher require a High Risk Work Licence under separate legislation.

Yes. The course includes hazard identification, risk control measures, equipment inspection, and safe operating procedures aligned with Australian standards.

Participants must be at least 18 years old, provide 100 points of identification, and have basic English literacy skills.

If you do not pass the assessment on your first attempt, you will be given the opportunity to review the learning material and resit the assessment. Most providers offer at least one complimentary resit, as understanding the content is essential for workplace safety and compliance.

The NSW Building and Construction Industry Training Fund Authority (TFA) provides subsidies for approved training undertaken by eligible employers and workers in the construction sector. You may be eligible if:

  • You work for an NSW-based construction company, and
  • Your employer pays the mandatory Training Fund Levy on your projects.

If eligible, your course fee may be partially reimbursed. You or your employer will need to apply for the subsidy after completing the course.

Statements of Attainment do not expire. However, many employers recommend retraining every five years.
