If you’re working on or around live electrical equipment, this is one ticket you don’t let slide. The UETDRMP018 Low Voltage Rescue course covers how to safely perform a rescue from a live LV panel and deliver CPR in line with current guidelines, while keeping you up to date with annual renewal expectations across the industry.
UETDRMP018 replaces the superseded unit UETDRRF004 (effective 1 October 2025), so if you’re searching under the old code or your certification is due, this is the updated course you need.

Every year, electrical incidents happen when something as simple as a loose connection or a moment’s distraction turns into a life-threatening situation. Having the right rescue and CPR training doesn’t just tick a compliance box — it makes sure you and your workmates have the best chance of going home safely at the end of the day.
This course is hands on and scenario based, designed to reflect real situations you might face on site. You’ll learn how to act quickly, safely and with confidence when it matters most.
You won’t just run through theory. You’ll practise these skills in realistic scenarios so that if something does go wrong, your response feels automatic rather than uncertain.
This course is designed for people working in environments where live electrical equipment is part of the job.
It’s important to note that this course covers rescue from a live low voltage panel only. It does not include rescue from overhead lines or underground cables.
Co-requisite: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation must be completed before or alongside the LVR practical component.
Delivery
Face-to-face training with practical, scenario-based assessment.
Duration
Typically completed in a short, focused session designed to minimise time off the tools.
Credential
Statement of Attainment issued on successful completion.
Renewal
Industry expectation is annual renewal to maintain currency, aligned with guidance from the Australian Resuscitation Council.
Physical requirements
Participants must be able to perform CPR on the floor and complete practical rescue tasks.
Entry requirements
No formal prerequisites, but the course is intended for those working in electrical environments.
Scope limitation
Covers rescue from live LV panels and switchboards only, not overhead or underground electrical systems.
This training sits within the broader framework of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, supporting your obligation to manage electrical risk and respond effectively in an emergency.
Because skills fade over time, regular refreshers help you keep up with any procedural or regulatory changes and maintain confidence in a high-risk environment. Many employers won’t accept older certificates, so completing the course yearly makes sure you remain site-ready.
AlertForce delivers low voltage rescue training nationally, making it easy to stay compliant wherever you’re based.
If you’re organising training for a crew, onsite or group bookings can be arranged to keep your team current with minimal disruption to your schedule.
Ready to get it sorted? Book your nearest course now and lock in your certification before it expires.
When it comes to LVR training, you don’t want a box-ticking exercise. You want training that actually prepares you for the moment you hope never happens.
AlertForce focuses on practical, job-relevant delivery. The scenarios reflect real electrical environments, not idealised classroom examples, so the skills you practise translate directly to site.
Courses are delivered by experienced trainers who understand the pressures of electrical work. They keep things clear, direct and grounded in what matters, without overcomplicating the content.
National delivery means consistency across locations, whether you’re booking as an individual or coordinating training across multiple sites.
You’ll also have a straightforward pathway to complete your CPR requirement through AlertForce’s first aid courses, making it easier to keep everything current in one place.
Most importantly, the focus is on making sure you leave confident. Not just certified, but ready.

UETDRMP018 is the updated unit that replaces UETDRRF004 as of 1 October 2025. The core skills remain similar, but the new unit reflects current industry standards and requirements. If you previously completed UETDRRF004, you’ll need to renew under UETDRMP018 to stay compliant.
There isn’t a single rule that applies to every worker, but many electricians, ESI workers and site personnel are required by employers, network operators or regulators to hold current LVR certification. It’s typically a condition of working on or near live LV equipment.
LVR certification is generally expected to be renewed annually. This aligns with industry practice and guidance from the Australian Resuscitation Council to ensure CPR skills remain current.
No. Because this course involves practical rescue and CPR skills, it must be completed face to face with hands-on assessment.
CPR (HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is a co-requisite. It must be completed before or alongside the LVR component. Many participants choose to complete both together to keep their certification aligned.
