There is a growing need for businesses working for government and private sector jobs to conduct Asbestos Awareness Training.
Asbestos may be found in many different products and many different places. Examples of product groups that might contain asbestos are:
- Roofing and insulations
- Interior and exterior wall claddings
- Wall and ceiling texture in older buildings and homes

In Asbestos Awareness Training you will learn the following is a list of common applications for asbestos. As you can see, asbestos is all around us:
- Asbestos cement sheet internal walls and ceilings
- Air-conditioning ducts: exterior or interior acoustic and thermal insulation
- Asbestos cement sheet underlays for vinyl
- Asbestos cement storm drain pipes
- Arc shields in lift motor rooms or large electrical cabinets
- Asbestos cement water pipes (usually underground)
- Asbestos-based plastics products – as electrical insulates and acid-resistant compositions or aircraft seat
- Asbestos-containing laminates (e.g. formica) used where heat resistance is required, e.g. ships
- Asbestos ceiling tiles
- Asbestos-containing pegboard
- Asbestos cement conduit
